ICANN Lisbon Meeting airport to city taxi transportation update

by Veni Markovski on March 25, 2007

Having just arrived in Lisbon, I’d like to share some useful information for all ICANN meeting participants.
When you land at the airport, you may be asked by the taxi drivers that you need to pay up to Euro 20 for transport to the hotel. In reality, the price should be below Euro 10 – depending on traffic it may go as low as Euro 7.
Alternatively, if you are being asked beforehand to pay more, go one level up, at the departure level, and get a taxi from there (advise taken from Francisco A. Jesus Silva)

Its a pity that incorrect people try to overprice “tourists”.
If you have any trouble, please contact a police officer and make a formal complaint.

Good meeting
