Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) opened a new Public Comment proceeding.
Recommendation 3.5 of the Third Accountability and Transparency Review called for a new Specific Review, the Holistic Review. The ICANN Board approved the Holistic Review as a pilot, "pursuant to community-agreed Terms of Reference." A community team developed Draft Terms of Reference and finished its work in June 2022. This proceeding seeks input on the Draft Terms of Reference to be used by the Pilot Holistic Review Team.
Please visit the proceeding webpage for more information.

About ICANN
ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
